Self-care, learn to take care of yourself. Self-care is necessary for everyone’s life, but do you know what it is and what it really means? Self-care means having a more pleasurable life, with momentary pleasures, living a life with balance, with harmony.
What is self-care?
Self-care is nothing more than a set of attitudes that you will have with yourself. It is valuing your feelings, thoughts, emotions. It is managing your life in a better way, more organized, solving problems in a simple and uncomplicated way.
There are several types of self-care:
In emotional self-care, you will take care of your mind and your feelings, like self-forgiveness, gratitude, with psychotherapy.
Social self-care is taking care of yourself and understanding that this is not a selfish process, but one of self-love. It is to surround yourself with people who support you, who take you forward, and get rid of toxic people. It is creating empathy and a feeling of solidarity for others.
The physical self-care is to take care of your body, lead a more balanced life, with healthy routines, exercise, take care of your diet, sleep well, and have quality sleep.
In mental self-knowledge you will learn to have moments of leisure, do activities that stimulate your creativity, you can read a book, take a course, get to know yourself, and get to know new things.
Self-care needs to be developed, as well as a new habit because whenever you practice all the types of help described above, it makes them part of your routine. as something natural, providing you well-being and quality of life.
Taking care of yourself is not a selfish attitude, it is love! And even if you take care of yourself, it will not make you stop being empathic with others, quite the contrary.
With self-care you will learn more about yourself and consequently about people and you will treat them much better. Self-care is something much more complex, you need to learn to work your mind, your physical, my emotional, and your social so that everything has a balance and harmony. I have listed below some activities that you can do to reach more and more self care
Habits for self-care
Having a good night’s sleep is one of the main steps to self-care, when you sleep better, you wake up better and can take the day with more mood, calm and energy. The ideal is that you sleep 8 hours a day, but this varies from organism to organism.
I’ve already mentioned here in the blog that food is an essential step for a healthy routine. And when you eat well, you live well. This does not mean to stop eating what you like, but to learn to eat the right things, to relax and be able to eat what makes you happy without any guilt.
Practicing physical exercises of any kind is very important for your body, practicing exercises to fight stress, depression, anxiety.
Do what you like
Take some time for yourself, watch a movie, read a book, take a walk in the park, meet new people. Take some time to have fun and forget all the problems. Life is much more than just doing tasks that are your duties, it is very good to take some time apart and have fun.
